We got it done
This photo was taken by Joe right before we did the last layer of color. At 3:39 a.m. we had the whole thing finished. Narrowed it down from 35 to 20, only the good shit…and a few of the awesomely weird ones will be available.
We documented the whole process in photos, so keep your eyes peeled for a really long “how to” blog entry, rife with manly arguments about color choices with a lot of “dude” and “bro” in there for good measure.

Boom. If all goes according to plan, we’ll be printing these with acrylic paint on fancy paper either insanely late tomorrow night or in the morning Saturday before the show.

Again, should all go according to plan, limited-edition prints of this flyer done within 24 hours of the show will be for sale there. Since beer’s so cheap at this bar, I think you might be able to spring for a pretty sweet 11X17 poster. It’ll look great in a cheap WalMart frame, btw.
Old Grey branding/visual identity change this morning

So, layout is mostly done for the Furey’s show flyer, just waiting to see how we’re gonna add one more band name to that bad boy. Once we go through the actual screen printing part, Joe and I will be documenting the whole thing and I’ll be posting a pretty long “here’s what we did, we screwed up this part, this part worked awesome, and this is what you get”

New Flyer
Coming soon, some real cool stuff
As I write this, I’m settling in to start work on a sweet flyer collab with Joe MacFadzen. Some of you might know his band, the Big Sway. Others might know his photography. (If you know him personally, he definitely won’t let you even attempt to avoid knowing both)
Anyway, it’s a cool idea. Both our bands are playing a show together on Feb 18th…in fact, every band playing has a member living at our house. For this reason, Joe’s been kind enough to send me a few photos to ruin in an illustration.
Together, once that’s done, we’re heading down to the Revolving Museum to screen print a bunch of these bad boys to sell at the show as art pieces/mementos of a night nobody will sober enough to remember.
